What to do before your event starts
Before you start an event, follow this checklist. Running a stream in Brightcove? See our Brightcove-specific checklist.
1. Schedule event
If your event is expected to have more than 500 concurrent viewers, make sure to raise a support ticket with the following:
- Expected number of viewers
- Number of concurrent streams
- Date and duration of the event
This will ensure we have the necessary resources in place to serve your event.
2. Make sure your stream is compatible
Make sure your HLS stream is supported - especially note the requirements around segment size.
3. Add termbases and custom dictionaries
Consider adding custom dictionaries to improve transcription quality, and termbases to improve the translation quality.
