Receiving Connect requests

Your clients will send Connect requests to ask your team to work on one or more sets of captions (either original captions or translations). When a client sends a request you will receive an email notification and the request will appear in the Connect overview page. To navigate to the Connect overview page click on the CaptionHub Connect link in the main drop down menu.

At this point the vendor team can either accept or reject the request. To accept or reject click on the Requested by Gamma link shown above. This will display the accept/reject popup shown below. Accepting the request will allow your team to work on the captions and rejecting the request will send it back to the client.

Working on accepted caption sets

Once you’ve accepted the request you can assign linguists using your preferred workflow. Super users and producers will see extra Connect UI on projects as shown below. All of your usual toolset is available including exporting VTT and auto translation/ transcription (if enabled for your team). Once you are happy that the captions are ready for the client, you’ll want to click on the Accepted request from Vendor link, which will show the submit or withdraw popup.

Submitting the request to the client will return the captions to the client for their approval. Withdrawing from the request signals to the client that you are not able to process the Connect request. Once either submit or withdrawal has occurred, your team won’t be able to work on the captions.

After a request is submitted to the client what happens next?

Once a request is submitted back the client one of two things will happen. The client will either accept the submission or return the submission for further work by your team. You will receive email notifications in either event and the UI will update accordingly.
