What is it?
CaptionHub Connect is a feature on CaptionHub that allows two teams to collaborate on transcriptions and translations. It is based on the principle of a client
team (the team that needs some transcription and or translations) and one or more vendor
teams (teams that will deliver the transcriptions and or translations).
CaptionHub Connect allows the collaboration to occur in a secure way, in that the teams are separate and donβt share user details and other sensitive information. CaptionHub Connect allows both client and vendor teams to use their usual workflow (such as direct assignment or self serve) and offers the same AI facilities that are available to the team on non Connect projects. This means you can continue to use the usual methods (MT engine, external TMS system, collaborate with linguists, etc.) you rely on to create and refine your captions.
How does it work?
Both client and vendor teams need to have a Connect relationship on the CaptionHub system. CaptionHub administrators set up this connection for you. Connect allows for the controlled interaction between client and vendor teams and a typical flow is illustrated below:
