Setting up Automation templates with CaptionHub Connect
To set up an Automation template with CaptionHub Connect, you’ll need to:
- First, ensure that client and vendor team(s) have a Connect relationship established on the CaptionHub system. Please contact your CaptionHub administrator to set up this connection for you.
- Next, you’ll need to create an Automation template.
- To do this, navigate to Automation, available from the drop-down at the top right of the screen
- Enter a name for your Automation template in the “Template name” box, and click the “Create template” button
- You’ll then see dropdown options that you'll need to configure based on what you want to automate.
Automation configuration
Project source:
- API or UI – select this if the source for your media will be via API or UI upload
- OVP – select this if you’d like the template to apply to media coming from one of our available OVP connectors that you’ve configured within your account
On project creation:
- End automation – select this if you’d like the automation to stop here
- Create original captions – select this to initiate a transcription action when your media comes into CaptionHub
On original caption creation / approval:
- End automation – select this if you’d like the automation to stop here
- Create translations – select this if you’d to initiate a translation action when your transcription has finished
- Send via CaptionHub Connect – select this if you’d like to route original captions to a vendor
On original caption receipt/approval:
- End automation – select this if you’d like the automation to stop here
- Create translations – select this if you’d to initiate a translation action when your transcription has finished
On translation creation / approval:
- End automation – select this if you’d like the automation to stop here
- Send via CaptionHub Connect – select this if you’d like to route translations to a vendor
On translation receipt/approval:
- End automation – select this if you’d like the automation to stop here
- Publish – select this if you’d to publish your translations when the translation process has finished
Automation configuration - Project
- Select workflow for original captions
- Select workflow for translations
- Apply termbases (currently only via Amazon Translate)
- Assign producers
- Save
Automation configuration - Original captions
- Select your transcription provider or method
- Choose the language of the video you’ll upload
- Apply Custom Dictionary that matches the spoken language of your uploaded video
- Enable CaptionHub Connect for original captions
- Select vendor (Step 1)
- Select vendor (Step 2), if applicable
- Apply caption limits under Advanced options
- Save
Automation configuration - Translations
- Select new translation group
- Choose translation method
- Select languages you wish to create translations for
- Enable CaptionHub Connect for original translations
- Select vendor (Step 1)
- Select vendor (Step 2), if applicable
- Apply caption limits under Advanced options
- Save & exit
