Learn how to use the HLS integration
CaptionHub Live can produce a HLS manifest file with WebVTT captions. You can either integrate this into the HLS stream yourself or use a modified manifest file from CaptionHub.
Supported players
Any player that supports HLS should be able to display subtitles using this methods. The following is a list of players that have been tested with our HLS manifest:
- Video.js
- HLS.js
- THEOplayer
- Plyr
- Bitmovin
- Safari native
- AVPlayer (macOS/iOS)
- VLC player

Known issues
- Shakaplayer has an issue where the subtitles disapear for very a very short amount of time, creating a flashing effect.
