Zoom: realtime transcription and translation
Realtime transcription and translation for any Zoom Webinar or Event
Requires Live Streaming for Zoom (This application allows Zoom to send an RTMP signal into Timbra)
This is intended for event broadcast/stream formats such as webinars and town-halls. Bi/multi-directional meetings are not supported.
Due to the single language limitations imposed by Zoom’s API – CART or in-pane captions are not supported for multiple languages – translations must be deployed via Timbra’s companion widget (browser link) or transcript widget (provided as either an iFrame or javascript snippet)
Setting up a new Zoom event with Timbra
- Start a new RTMP flow in Timbra and copy the RTMP credentials

- In Zoom go to More > Livestream > Custom Live Streaming Service and enter the RTMP URL and Stream Key in to the Zoom Livestream fields

Sending realtime translated transcription to your audience
You have three options here:
- You can use the in-room companion by sharing the URL to your Zoom participants e.g. via the Zoom chat, Slack or email

- Use the Webinar share or 3. Transcript widget to embed the transcription and translation in the webpage you would like the captions to appear in.
