Microsoft Teams: realtime transcription and translation

Realtime transcription and translation for any MS Teams Webinar or Townhall event

💡

Requires: the Custom Streaming application for MS Teams, provided on the MS Marketplace. This application allows Teams to send an RTMP feed out, and into Timbra.

ℹ️

This is intended for event broadcast/stream formats such as webinars and townhalls. Bi/multi-directional meetings are not supported.

⚠️

Due to the single language limitations imposed by Zoom’s API – CART or in-pane captions are not supported for multiple languages – translations must be deployed via Timbra’s companion widget

Setup Teams with Timbra

  1. Install Custom Streaming by visiting the above link and following the instructions
  1. Every time you run a Teams Event you’ll need to activate this within Teams
