Applying caption formatting

Positioning your captions
- Horizontal position: Adjust the horizontal placement of your caption using the slider or enter a specific percentage value
- Vertical position: Set the vertical placement using the slider or enter a specific percentage value
- Anchor point: Choose the anchor point for your caption e.g. if horizontal position and vertical position are both 50%, selecting ‘top’ will place the top edge of your caption in the centre of the video. Selecting ‘middle’ will place the middle of your caption in the centre.
Using numpad positions
You can also position your captions in one of nine pre-determined ‘numpad’ positions.
Selecting one of these positions will override any fine-tuned positioning you have set in the caption formatting panel i.e. horizontal position, vertical position, anchor point.
It will also affect the text justification.

Applying your formatting
Once you’re happy with the formatting, you can use the ‘Apply format to’ dropdown to apply it to:
- This caption only
- All captions
- All track one (T1) captions
- All track two (T2) captions
You can also choose to apply just the style, just the position or both:
