Frame-based on-screen text capture
You can mark on-screen text and create captions in the same position and start time. This speeds up localisation.
Note: On-screen text capture is only available when editing original captions.
Steps
- Open the Caption editor
- Pause the video at the frame containing the on-screen text
- Click the cog icon and choose Capture on-screen text
- Select the text in the pop-up window by clicking on it
- The selected text will appear below
- Confirm your selection
- The new captions will appear in the spreadsheet view and will be placed automatically in Track 2 (purple)
- To capture more on-screen text, move to the next frame and repeat steps 3–6
