Notes, comments and project notes with Connect

Working collaboratively in CaptionHub often requires clear communication. When using Connect, customers and LSPs can exchange information through Project notes, Language notes, and Comments.

You can learn more about these features in detail in our Notes, comments and project notes article. The instructions below only cover functionality specific to Connect.

You can create project-level notes directly on the Project page. These are useful for sharing global context, instructions, or background information relevant to the entire project.

You can also access Project notes via the Language notes tab in the Caption Editor — allowing you to view key information without leaving the editing environment.

When using Connect, you can choose whether to share these notes with your connected partner. To share a note, add it first, then click the Connect icon — it will turn blue once active.

If you prefer to keep the note internal, simply add it and leave the icon unselected.

You can access Language notes by clicking the messaging icon next to the language and state badges. To view only captions that have notes, click the comment icon at the top of the editor.

Type your note, then click Add note when finished. To share the note with your connected partner, click the Connect icon. You can delete your note at any time if needed.

Comments are similar to notes but apply at the caption level, allowing for more specific feedback. To leave a comment, click the comment icon on the right-hand side of a caption.

This opens a comment window where you can add or edit your comment.

If you want to share the comment with your connected partner, click the Connect icon.
