Other HLS streams
Itβs likely that CaptionHub Live is compatible with the output of your streaming provider. Please contact us if you want to discuss compatibility of your streaming setup.
HLS stream requirements
- The stream needs to be publicly accessible
- The stream canβt use encryption or DRM
- The stream needs to use MPEG-TS. We donβt currently support Fragmented MP4 (fMP4). This also means that LL-HLS is not supported.
- Segments need to have a
#EXT-X-PROGRAM-DATE-TIME
tag in order to be used with a player plugin.
- If using a separate audio feed, segments need to use MPEG-TS in order to be used with HLS integration. Using Packed Audio is not supported.
- The minimum segment size is 5 seconds, and minimum total playlist size is 15 seconds.
- The HLS stream needs to allow CORS in order to provide a preview inside CaptionHub.
Supported HLS features
- When using separate audio playlists, the default audio stream will be transcribed.
