Managing format templates

Create, edit and apply format templates to your captions

At the top of the formatting panel, you'll find the Templates section, which allows you to save, edit and apply predefined formatting settings.

If you have used render templates in the past, these should be automatically available for you to select here.

Creating a template

  1. Open the caption formatting panel and customise the format
  1. Click ‘Save as new template’
  1. Give the template a name and click ‘Save’
  1. Your current formatting is now saved as a new template and should be available in the ‘Templates’ dropdown

  1. Select the template you want to edit from the dropdown
  1. Make any formatting changes in the panel below
  1. The option ‘Save changes to template’ will now appear
  1. Click this button to apply the changes to the selected template

Applying a template across a project

  1. Create a new template as above or select one from the dropdown
  1. The option ‘Apply template across project’ will now appear
  1. Click this button to apply formatting to the original captions and all translations in this project

Deleting a template

This will delete the template for your team, not just this caption set.

Any formatting applied using this template will be preserved, but the template will no longer be available to use.
